Name: Kimberly Osment

Education: Ms. Osment has taught deaf children for over 30 years. She recently was the first ever graduate of a Medical Masters degree in Cochlear Implants that Vanderbilt started at her request. Now people from all over the world (Russia, Korea, India, and across the 50 states) come to study engineering and medical implications of the Bionic technology allowing deaf poeple to "hear". She began working with Deaf in Tennessee in 2004.

Hometown: Tulsa, OK

Hobbies: Spending time wth her son Joel, kayaking, dancing, sewing, crocheting, prayer shawls, tatting, smocking, reading, watching "House", traveling, bible study, and studying Hebraic roots of Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Family: Ms. Osment has two sons: Jared, 24, a rocket scientist at American Airlines and Joel, 15, a sophmore at Mt. Juliet Christian. She expects the arrival of her first grandchild, Lily Kate in August 2009.

Interesting Facts: Ms. Osment once drove a boat across the Sea of Galilee. Her brother in law was first baseman for the Cubs and her college cheerleading squad was awarded the Outstanding Squad of the USA by Joe Namath!
